Representatives of the Legal Aid Service (LAS) congratulated the students of Public School #2 in the village of Sartichala, Gardabani Municipality, on June 1st – the International Day of Protecting the Children's Rights. The presentation delivered to the children included information about the LAS services regarding the protection of children's rights, and it covered legal issues of bullying, discrimination, and tolerance. The teenagers also actively participated in role-playing games.
In addition, the students were given an adapted version of the Convention on the Rights of the Child along with informational brochures, which will further help them better understand and apply their rights in daily life.
It is worth noting that a memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Legal Aid Service and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Under the agreement, similar activities are regularly carried out to raise students' legal awareness.
