David Simonia participated in the Georgian-Armenian forum

Georgia hosted the 6th Georgian-Armenian Legal Forum on November 17–18.

At the Forum I had a chance to discuss the potential and the challenges of  using Artificial Intelligence (AI)  in the legal sector.  The Legal Aid Service (LAS) has successfully employed  a variety of tools and techniques to carry out its legal activities in light of the AI rapid development.
The Forum attendants  paid particular attention to the application of artificial intelligence in the LAS  case allocation process. Correspondingly, Simonia -the director of the legal aid service,  introduced Georgian and foreign colleagues to how  the consultants and lawyers of the Legal Aid Service use artificial intelligence when working directly on cases, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice.

Presentations were also delivered  by David Asatiani, the Chairperson of the Georgian Bar Association, and  Simon Babayan, the Chairperson of the Armenian Bar Association.
