Georgia hosted the 6th Georgian-Armenian Legal Forum on November 17–18.
At the Forum I had a chance to discuss the potential and the challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the legal sector. The Legal Aid Service (LAS) has successfully employed a variety of tools and techniques to carry out its legal activities in light of the AI rapid development.
The Forum attendants paid particular attention to the application of artificial intelligence in the LAS case allocation process. Correspondingly, Simonia -the director of the legal aid service, introduced Georgian and foreign colleagues to how the consultants and lawyers of the Legal Aid Service use artificial intelligence when working directly on cases, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice.
Presentations were also delivered by David Asatiani, the Chairperson of the Georgian Bar Association, and Simon Babayan, the Chairperson of the Armenian Bar Association.
