On March 11, the LAS Achara bureau lawyers held a seminar for pupils of higher classes of Batumi public school N1.
In the framework of the seminar, the pupils got introduced with various issues if criminal law, among them, types of crimes and prescribed liabilities for them, rights of minors in conflict with law, court of jury, presumption of innocence and so on. The seminar was held in an interactive manner. The meeting was shown by the local television TV 25.
The LAS legal aid bureaus periodically carry out seminars at schools. The aim of such activities is to raise legal awareness of the pupils of public schools, support to education and prevention of crime.
The seminars are organized under the memorandum of collaboration concluded between Legal Aid Service and the Ministry of Education.
