On September 17, in Mestia Razhden Kuprashvili, the Legal Aid Service Director met with the representatives of the Mayor’s Office and Sakrebulo and the authorized persons of the Mestia Municipality villages. Free legal aid system, social programs, land registration issues, Child Code and juvenile justice, assistance in deferral of bank obligations - these were the main issues that highlighted and expressed the interest of the audience.
There was discussed the ancient Svaneti justice system, which still functions as a centuries-old tradition in the region. Avtandil Japaridze, a consultant of the Mestia Counseling Center, provided individual consultations to the interested persons. The meeting was a part of the Legal Awareness Campaign - Make the Law Accessible to All - Supported by USAID / PRoLOG and the COE.
