With the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program, on November 1, Director of the Legal Aid Service (LAS), David Simonia, held a meeting at the public school in the village of Becho, Mestia Municipality. D.Simonia introduced the school students and teachers to the LAS services and the mandate for protection of child's rights.
The "Paralegals" initiative was the focus of the second half of the meeting. With the help of the USAID Rule of Law Program, Batumi paralegal students also visited Becho. There, they spoke to the children about bullying, inclusive education, and other issues of child’s rights, in line with the Child Rights Protection Code and Convention.
