Today the LAS Samtskhe-Javakheti Bureau lawyers held a meeting with representatives of Adigeni Municipality and city assembly.
The public lawyers introduced criteria of receiving free legal aid to the employees of the local self-government and identified the legal needs of the population. The focus was made on free advocacy service which entails family and inheritance disputes, as well as issues of social defense.
The LAS legal aid bureaus periodically carry out such meetings at the local self-governmental bodies. The aim of meetings is to raise awareness of the local government in order that the government or the city assembly representatives are able to direct citizens with legal problems to the appropriate legal aid bureau.
