On April 13, the LAS Zestaponi Legal Aid Bureau lawyers held a seminar about Age and Legislation at Kharagauli public school N2.
In the framework of the seminar, the public lawyers informed pupils about their rights and responsibilities, talked about various types of crimes and offences, also punishments envisaged for committing them. The focus was made on Code of Juvenile Justice which was enacted from 2016 and establishes standards of special treatment by the justice system bodies.
The legal aid bureaus periodically carry out seminars at schools. The aim of such activity is to raise legal awareness among the youth and to prevent committing a crime.
