Today, the LAS Zestaphoni Bureau lawyers held a seminar regarding Age and Legislation at Zestaphoni School N1.
In the framework of the seminar, the public lawyers informed pupils about their rights and responsibilities, talked about various crimes and offences and punishments established for committing them. The focus was made on Code of Juvenile Justice which was enacted from 2016 and establishes standards of special treatment toward children for official bodies of justice system.
The LAS legal aid bureaus periodically carry out seminars at schools. The aim of such activity is to raise legal awareness among minors and to prevent committing crimes.
