On March 22-23, the LAS Zugdidi and Mtskheta Bureau lawyers visited collective settlements of IDPs and held information meetings for them.
The LAS Zugdidi bureau lawyers met with IDPs who live in Narezeni and Khetseri villages, and the LAS Mtskheta bureau lawyers carried out meeting with IDPs in Bazaleti. The public lawyers talked about various legal issues, among them, domestic violence, social rights of IDPs, property registration, pension, inheritance, etc.
The aim of information meetings is to raise awareness of IDPs regarding human rights, ensure accessibility to justice, provide information on ongoing legislative amendments, render legal consultation and assist in legal matters.
