A distance training was held

On November 12, within the framework of the USAID PROLoG project, a distance training was held on the topic - "Application of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights". The training was led by the lawyer Irakli Adeishvili.

The training discussed  Articles 5 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights; Presumption in favor of freedom; Legality of detention - formal compliance with national law, the importance of continuity of legal basis; Arrest and detention, constituent elements of the existence of deprivation of liberty; Detention of a minor, detention for medical or social purposes, detention of foreigners; The legitimate objectives set out in Article 8, part -2; Positive and negative obligations, horizontal effect, procedural guarantees; Personal identity and more.

The training was attended by lawyers and consultants from the regional bureaus and counseling centers of the Legal Aid Service, as well as invited lawyers from the Public Registry. The training was conducted with the active involvement of the participants.
