On April 23, Razhden Kuprashvili, Director of the Legal Aid Service, and Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of GeoStat, signed a Memorandum of cooperation.
Under the Memorandum, the Legal Aid Service, within its competence, will provide GeoStat with appropriate assistance in organizing the collection and receipt of information;
In its turn, Geostat, within the framework of the statistical work program, will provide the Service periodically with the supply of statistical data required, as well as with professional consultations and advice on data processing and other issues;
The parties agreed on jointly ensuring the establishment of thematic working groups and workshops, which will facilitate, on the one hand, the production of official statistics, and on the other hand, will provide the decision-makers of the service with the necessary, reliable and objective statistical information. If needed, they will also cooperate in carrying out various activities to raise public awareness.
