Representatives of the Legal Aid Service and the Georgian Bar Association participated in a trainers' training on jurors' judicial skills from 23–27 September, 2024, in Batumi, as part of the collaboration between the Legal Aid Service and the United States Embassy (INL).
Participating in the trainers' training were attorneys who had completed basic and intermediate training in the jurors’ judicial skills. They have also taken part in several overseas training programs and study tours.
Following successful completion of the aforementioned training, participants will actively get involved in the process of providing all interested attorneys with additional training. International professionals with years of experience in criminal law guided the training program for trainers. The US Embassy actively continues to support the Legal Aid Service, in an effort to strengthen the jury trial institution.
