As a part of the 16-day global campaign “Violence against Women and Domestic Violence”, on December 7, the Shida Kartli Legal Aid Bureau organized the meeting with the Gori Teaching University students. The prosecutor of the Prosecution’s Office Gori Unit and the representatives of Shida Kartli Bureau attended the meeting.
The guests gave the audience detailed information on the existing Georgian legislation for protecting the rights of victims of the violence. Moreover, they informed the attendees about the mechanisms that give potential victims the chance to protect themselves. After showing of the UN Women documentary “Raise your voice” the discussion was held with the participation of the whole audience.
