On May 2, Poti Legal Aid Service Bureau attorney Maya Daraselia and consultant Salome Janjghava met with the students and administration of school #7 named after Giorgi Chkondideli in Poti. The discussion was held in response to the school’s request  for   participation   in the Human Rights event.

In a slide program  on human rights, attorney Maya Daraselia provided a brief overview of  the human rights protected by the Georgian Constitution, the legal hierarchy, the issues  governed  by the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Code of Child Rights.
Consultant Salome Janjghava informed the audience on  the criteria of receiving free legal aid, and  on  other services from  LAS.
In the course of the meeting the schoolchildren received thorough responses  to their questions.
