On September 22, 2023, the head of the Zugdidi Bureau of the Legal Aid Service, Roman Keydia, participated as a member in the meeting of the Zugdidi Municipality Community Coalition for a Healthy and Safe Future.
The purpose of the Community Coalition is to create a system of harmonized action between the state, municipal, public, religious and other organizations, and to coordinate their efforts to develop and implement preventive strategies for young people’s use of narcotic and psychotropic substances, violence and other problematic behaviors in the municipality. The community coalition brings together representatives of the state, civil, educational and health sectors, as well as the church.
The discussion revolved around the Coalition's strategy and action plan.
The head of the bureau, Roman Keydia, introduced the meeting participants to the preventive activities carried out by the Legal Aid Service in relation to drug use and other offences among young people.
During the meeting, the Coalition's 2023-2025 strategy and one-year action plan were devised and developed.
