The Legal Aid Service and Georgian Bar Association organized a moot court in Mestia District Court on August 2, 2024.
Participants in the event heard speeches from David Simonia, Director of the Legal Aid Service, and Davit Asatiani, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association. The seniors who still engage in traditional Svani justice and live in Mestia, represented the jury in the criminal case heard in the moot court.
They were awarded with special certificates at the conclusion of the meeting. The moot court was also attended by locals.
