On April 11, 2025, the Deputy Director of the Legal Aid Service (LAS), Mikheil Khurtsidze, and representatives of the administration visited public schools in the villages of Knolevi and Avlevi (Kareli Municipality) adjacent to the occupied zone.
Maia Khutsishvili, Head of the Department for Quality Assessment of Specialized Cases, gave a presentation, which reviewed information about the LAS services, the protection of children's rights and the codes of juvenile justice. She provided teachers and students with information on the elimination of discrimination bullying, as well as tolerance and equality, spoke about the legal aspects of violence against women and domestic violence, and the issuance of "restraining" and "protective" orders.
At the meetings, the head of the Gori Legal Aid Bureau, Giorgi Jeiranashvili, provided the local population with information about the bureau's activities. It is worth noting that the aforementioned villages are the operational area of the Gori Legal Aid Bureau. In addition, the population can also receive free legal advice at the Kareli Consulting Center. Nino Masurashvili, a consultant at the Gori Legal Aid Bureau, provided individual legal advice to residents of the village of Avlevi on the spot.
