The LAS Kutaisi Bureau lawyer, Pavle Kakabadze defended Badri O. who was accused of action envisaged by paragraphs B and E of part 2, article 126 of Criminal Code of Georgia that is domestic violence, committed repeatedly, in presence of a minor. The imprisonment was used against the defendant as a preventive measure.
While closing speech, the lawyer, Pavle Kakabadze, made focus on the fact that there was neither any reliable evidence in the case nor even any direct proof on the bases of which Badri O. could be charged. Accordingly, the defense party demanded acquittal for the defendant.
Kutaisi City Court fully shared the position of the public lawyer, rendered a verdict of acquittal for Badri O. and released him from the court room.
