The Council of Europe project - “Enhanced Access to Legal Aid Services for Marginalised Population”was closed

On December 12, the Council of Europe project - “Enhanced Access to Legal Aid Services for Marginalised Population”was closed. The event was opened and the participants were welcomed by Giorgi Giorgadze, Chief Project Officer of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Natalia Voutova, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Frederic Dolt, Head of the Department for the implementation of Human Rights, Justice and Legal Co-operation Standards,  Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Chairman of the Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration Committee at the Parliament of Georgia,  David Simonia, the Director of the Legal Aid Service, Irakli Kandashvili, the Chairman of the Mediators Association.  

Nino Meladze, the First Deputy Director of the Legal Aid Service, provided thorough information of the project outcomes. At the end of the event, the successful graduates of the HELP program were awarded. 

We would like to remind you that 23 LAS employees received comprehensive training on the subject of "Hate Speech and Hate Motivated Crimes" over the course of three months using the HELP e-learning platform. We express our gratitude to the Council of Europe for their crucial assistance with the project.
