A meeting was held in the town hall of the Abasha municipality on March 6, 2024, with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Programme. Together with paralegals, Legal Aid Service (LAS) officials met the local community representatives. Giga Gabelaia, the Mayor of Abasha Municipality, gave a welcome speech to the assembled audience.
Maya Nozadze, Head of the Legal Aid Service Analytical and International Relations Department, gave a brief overview of the LAS services, and spoke to the attendees about legal obligations and completed projects.
The paralegals from the regions of Adjara and Imereti delivered a presentation on women's rights, and responded to questions from the Abasha locals at the conclusion of the gathering.
