On March 22, interns who successfully underwent a 4-month internship at Tbilisi Legal Aid Bureau as a part of the criminal law clinic program, received certificates.
On the basis of the law clinic program, interns met with real clients under supervision of the Bureau lawyers and prepare various legal documents regarding specific criminal cases. They also have an opportunity to deal with the judiciary, prosecution’s office, penitentiary institutions, etc.
The LAS internship program has been implemented for the 10th year now. It promotes the development of law faculty students at different universities. Currently, the law clinics are functioning at the LAS Tbilisi, Shida Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti-Kutaisi and Adjara legal aid bureaus.
