On March 14, 2025, at the Khelvachauri Youth Center, Gvantsa Turmanidze, a lawyer specializing in juvenile matters at the Adjara Legal Aid Bureau, led an information training on the topic: Juvenile Rights and Justice. The lawyer informed the training participants about the rights of the child, the rights provided for by the Juvenile Justice Code, as well as discussed the types of liability of a minor in case of committing a criminal and administrative offense and the expected legal consequences. G.Turmanidze spoke how the Legal Aid Service contributes to the process of protecting the rights of minors. A question-and-answer interaction took up the last portion of the training.
Young people showed special interest in issues such as the rights of witnesses and victims, as well as their basic rights and obligations when interacting with law enforcement agencies. The participants were thoroughly explained the ways and mechanisms for protecting their rights in the above-mentioned cases. 50 young people living in the municipality participated in the information training, attended also by employees of the Khelvachauri Municipality Council and City Hall.
